We develop business models for energy storage in electricity markets and power systems, from aggregating electric vehicles to provide stacked services, to designing non-wire alternatives that enhance grid resiliency with the least cost and environmental impact. Our solution pays attention to batteries' unique degradation characteristics, and is aware of ownership boundaries, communication limits, and computation costs. In addition, our work provides foresights for future market needs and directs investments and research for promising energy storage technologies.
