Postdoc, Research Scientist, and Student Opportunities

The Marbella Lab is looking for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering MS or undergraduate students to help us develop a novel tensometer for in situ/operando NMR/MRI measurements. Students will have the opportunity to perform research on materials for use in flexible batteries and wearable electronics. Research for credit is available. If interested, please contact Prof. Lauren Marbella (lem2221@columbia.edu).

The Esposito research group at Columbia University has a postdoc opening involving research and development of electrolyzers for simultaneous water treatment and co-generation of hydrogen. The project is funded through the NY State Powerbridge Accelerator Program, which is motivated to convert cleantech innovations from academic labs into cleantech businesses.  Qualified candidates will have a strong background in electrochemistry, an outgoing personality, and entrepreneurial spirit. Research and development tasks will include electrolyzer design and scale-up, electrocatalyst development, and system design. Prior experience in electrocatalysis, microbiology, water treatment, and/or entrepreneurship is beneficial, but not required. If interested in learning more about this opening, please contact de2300@columbia.edu.
